10th Annual “Stand in Ansel Adams’ Footsteps” Juried Competition & Exhibition
The Gwinnett Chapter, Georgia Nature Photographers Association is once again hosting our very popular “Stand in Ansel Adams Footsteps”. The 10th Annual Juried photographic competition will return to The Hudgens Center for Art and Learning a 10-week exhibition. This year’s exhibit will run from February 15 until April 26, 2025, and will be an exciting show with 133 selected pieces on display. Photography by Lori Mitchum included.

Camelback “All Abstracts 2025” International Juried Virtual Art Exhibition
Camelback Gallery's Visual Arts Competition. Jurors selected artwork based on theme, creativity, quality of work, shape, form, color, line and execution. The artwork must receive at least one vote by a juror to be in the final award exhibition. THE ANNUAL M2R FENCE GALLERY IS A CURATED INSTALLATION, DEBUTING TRACKSIDE IN DOWNTOWN MARIETTA, GA BEFORE TRAVELING THROUGHOUT COBB COUNTY.

GNPA Black and White Nature Photography Competition
The Roswell Chapter of Georgia Nature Photographers Association (GNPA) has a partnership with the Chattahoochee Nature Center (CNC) to provide a photographic gallery in their Discovery Center. The theme for this exhibit is “Black and White Nature Photography”. Twenty-four (24) images will be selected.
There will be 3 categories for the purpose of photo selection: 1) Georgia landscapes, 2) macro/close-up, 3) Georgia native animals.
The exhibit will be on display from December 4, 2024, to March 5, 2025.

Art of the Elements Juried Gallery Exhibit
In partnership with the City of Alpharetta's Cultural Services, Arts Alpharetta hosts 'Art of the Elements.'
Exploring the four elements - earth, air, fire, and water - this exhibition presents artworks inspired by nature's elements. From earthy ceramics to ethereal paintings to kinetic sculptures, it captures the essence of these elemental forces. All media represented.
Jurors sought artworks that reflect thoughtful interpretations and representations of the elements of the Earth in art, through medium, subject, process, or expression.

Roswell Photographic Society 28th Annual Open Juried Exhibit
We are excited to announce the 28th Annual RPS Open Juried Exhibit at the Roswell Visual Arts Center, located inside Roswell Area Park, 10495 Woodstock Rd, Roswell, GA 30075
This exhibit is open to all photographers, not just Roswell Photographic Society (RPS) members. As a juried photo competition, a judge reviewed the entries and selected the images to be placed in the exhibit. We received 272 images, and our judge, Steve Steinman, repeatedly commented on the extraordinary quality level of the images before selecting 80 entries for display and competition
There will be cash awards in each of four categories:
Still Life/Abstract
Architecture/Travel
Nature/Landscape
People/Animals

Local Lenses - Cultural Arts Council Photography Exhibit
The CAC will welcome a panel of three judges from a diverse range of backgrounds to assess all of the pieces. The judges will determine the first three prizes via numeric scoring. Prizes will include 1st place for $200, 2nd place for $150, 3rd place $100, and a People’s Choice award will be announced at the end of November for $50. Friends of the artists should view the exhibit between October 14-November 20 to vote on their favorite photograph. Cash prizes are generously sponsored by Kaiser Permanente. The CAC invites you, your family, and your photography friends to come out and support the community and local artists while enjoying refreshments, live music, and more.

Capture Outside The Lines Fence Gallery
The 'Capture Outside the Lines' Fence Gallery is a way to give back to the community by providing something unexpected in their day. With this outdoor exhibition, the public gets to experience the town, its cultural institutions, and businesses by walking through….. Hunter Memorial Park Walking Trail (8830 Gurley Road, Douglasville, GA 30134) and O'Neal Plaza (6700 Church Street, Douglasville, GA 30134).

Cultural Arts Council of 2024 National Juried Art Show
The Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/ Douglas County (CAC) presents the National Juried Arts Show 2024 (NJAS). Artists from around the country can submit up to three artworks each for a chance to win one of six cash prizes. An opening reception will take place on Thursday, September 5, 6-8 pm, hosted by the Douglas County Art Guild.
Three accredited judges will use a point system to determine the top cash awards. CAC cash prizes are sponsored by Connally, Jordan and Associates. Award recipients will be announced on the night of the reception, and the People’s Choice award will be announced at the end of the exhibit.

“Shoot Your Shot” Emerging Artists Juried Exhibit
Douglas County Government is partnering with the Georgia Arts Initiative and the Landen Prather Fine Art Gallery to present the ‘Shoot Your Shot’ competition for emerging visual artists ages 18 and up.
The competition aims to provide artists with a platform to showcase their work and gain exposure. Douglas County Government's Constituent Services Manager Wendy Caudle states, “There are so many artists using traditional materials in original ways and reimagining the way art is created and experienced. We understand how difficult it can be for artists to be seen, so we want to create an opportunity for these artists to show their work in a gallery, be inspired by their peers, and get feedback from professionals.”
The ‘Shoot Your Shot’ Art Show will open on July 18 at 6 PM at the Douglas County Courthouse. The event will also feature a meet and greet with the artists. This event is free and open to the public. The artwork will be on display in the Douglas County Courthouse Art Gallery from July 18 through August 30.

Art at the Avenue SCAA National Juried Exhibit
On weekends, enjoy the South Cobb Art Alliance (SCAA) Juried Exhibition, Art at the Avenue 2024, featuring works of all types of genre, medium, style, and techniques! Held in a unique 10,499 sq ft exhibit space at the Avenue West Cobb in Marietta, the Juried Exhibit will also include events by the Georgia Ballet, Georgia Symphony, and a Student Emerging Artists display. “Color” Exhibit - Southeast Center for Photography
The Color photograph. We want to celebrate Color in all its forms at the SE Center. Our jurors would like to see creativity and self-expression. They have no preference subject, or style but would like to be able to see the photographer's mind at work, his or her use of visual composition and original thinking.
Michael Pannier, Juror. Michael Pannier is an internationally shown fine art and commercial photographer now located in Greenville, SC. Previously based in Maryland, Michael has spent over 30 years in photography and 25 years in the gallery and art world, opening his first gallery in 1987.
Relocating to South Carolina, The SE Center for Photography was born as an exhibition and education venue for fine photography. With an emphasis on presenting the work of Southern photographers and themes, the SE Center has hosted more than 150 exhibitions.
Michael is represented in galleries across the country, a frequent exhibition juror and curator, portfolio reviewer, and speaker on the business of fine art photography. When not in South Carolina he can be found leading photographic expeditions in Death Valley and the Eastern Sierras.

“Family Ties” Exhibit - Southeast Center for Photography (Copy)
Families, we want to showcase the many different ways that family can be represented. It can be a place you seek comfort in, but for many it could be harmful. We aim to explore the many different photographic representations of what "family" could be.
Lia Latty, Juror
Lia Latty is an emerging photographer born in Miami, FL, and now resides in Baltimore, MD. She received her BFA in Photography from the Maryland Institute College of Art. Lia invites participants from marginalized communities to empower themselves in front of the camera through intimate studio sessions. She uses lighting and color theory as the main elements to broaden the representation of Black bodies and Black skin within the media. Through authenticity and personal experiences, she communicates with others in order to share their voices as a collective and initiate dialogue about issues relating to identity and race. Her work has been exhibited in Baltimore, New York, and at MICA. She is a member of Black Women Photographers and an UpNext member of Diversify Photo.
Lia is also the founder of Black Is Magazine. Black Is publishes the stories and the work of Black photographers from around the world, because one experience does not speak for all.

“Exhibition: All the Fixins’: Artists from the South” Reeves House Visual Arts Center
All the Fixins’ will provide an opportunity for artists from all over the South to submit their artwork for consideration by a panel of judges, and show audiences all the talent within this region! The winners will be awarded cash prizes.
Show contains artwork from artists in the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

The Member Exhibit event, which will take place within the North Cobb Regional Library, will be open to the public April 8 to May 24. A reception will be held on April 27 commencing with a brief Member Meeting and its SCAA Board election with the reception to follow until 4pm.

Fifth LaGrange Southeast Regional Juried Exhibition
The LaGrange Southeast Regional traces its roots to the LaGrange National Competition which began in 1964 when a competitive show known as the Gardens Art Festival was organized and sponsored by the Chattahoochee Valley Art Association, LaGrange College and Callaway Gardens. In 1974, the competition was moved to LaGrange, took the name LaGrange National, and was expanded from a regional to a national show. In 1984, the competition expanded again and displayed in two locations, with the Chattahoochee Valley Art Association Museum and the Lamar Dodd Art Center, of LaGrange College.
Over the years, the LaGrange National earned an excellent reputation numerous distinguished jurors including Lloyd Goodrich, Richard Lahey, Carl Holty, Joseph Rishel, Larry Poons, Jane Livingston, Cynthia McCabe, Linda Cathcart, Ted Potter, Roy Slade, Henry Hopkins, Patterson Sims, Peter Mirin, Siri Engberg, Benny Andrews, Robert Lyon, Jane Jackson, Eleanor Heartney, J. Richard Gruber, Robert E. Steele, Annette Cone-Skelton, Deanna Sirlin, David Houston, Curlee Raven Holton, Daricia Mia DeMarr, and this year Hannah Israel.
The Fifth LaGrange Southeast Regional is a juried competition open to all artists in the southeast over 18 years of age. Eligible states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia. All work must be original and completed within the last two years. The sponsors are the final authority on eligibility. Purchase Awards will be made. The purchased works are added to the permanent collection of the sponsors. The Juror will present Merit Awards to a limited number of works.

APG - Choice 2024 - Annual Member Exhibition
Our first 2024 exhibition will be Choice 2024, our annual member exhibition. Curated by the esteemed artist and gallerist, Mark Mason Karelson, Owner, Mason Fine art and the PATH Museum, in Atlanta, GA, this was an open call with no theme. SCAA Juried Holiday Fine Art Exhibit
SCAA displays 2D Fine Artwork as part of the upcoming juried SCAA Holiday Artfest + Market event from December 1-5 at the Ford Center in Powder Springs. The Holiday Art Exhibit event will take place within the Holiday Artfest + Market and Christmas House Tea Room space at the beautifully decorated Ford Center in Powder Springs, with an opening “Tis the Season” reception on December 2 as well as community activities during the event.
